The Italian merchant steamship "Varese" sank in 1915 while transporting cargo from Trieste to Tunis. Because of bad weather, the captain decided to take refuge in the port of Pula, heading towards the city, ship struck a mine which destroyed the prow, the ship sinking in the place where it is today.

The wreck has a length of 60 meters and a width of 9 meters. It is 42 meters deep. The upper deck is lying on 33 meters.

During the immersion is possible to get inside of the wreck, which is sufficiently wide and safe in along its entire length. It is proposed exclusively in double immersion because of the distance from the center.
